A season of small-town Christmas in Ohio’s River Town
Christmas in the Village brings McConnelsville together for a full season of holiday celebrations. Come for the parade, enjoy the lights and Santa at the Commons on Saturday evenings, and return for the December 5 Holiday Stroll & Market across the village.
What to Expect
From Main Street to the village’s gathering places, Christmas in the Village invites you to make an afternoon or weekend of it. Local businesses are preparing holiday specials and activities, and community partners are coordinating festive stops throughout town. The event map and schedule will be updated as details are confirmed.
Three Ways to Celebrate
Village Parade & Tree Lighting
Friday, November 27. Lineup begins at 5 p.m. in Malta, with the parade starting at 6 p.m. and traveling to the McConnelsville Commons for Village Tree Lighting.

Christmas at The Commons
Saturday evenings, November 28, December 5, 12, and 19, from 5–9 p.m. Enjoy the lights, Santa’s House, horse-and-carriage rides, carousel rides, and sponsor-a-tree.
Holiday Stroll & Market
Saturday, December 5, from 3–7 p.m. Explore participating businesses, seasonal specials, and activities across the village, including the vendor market at the Riecker Building.

Sponsor a tree and help Ohio’s River Town shine!
Gather your family, coworkers, or community group to decorate a tree at the Commons. Celebrate your business, start a family tradition, or honor someone you hold dear.
For $100, your sponsorship includes a staked tree, lights, and a sign for you to personalize. Trees will be ready to decorate on Wednesday, November 18.
