On behalf of the Village of McConnelsville and the Independence Day Festival Committee, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make this year’s Independence Day Festival such a tremendous success.
First and foremost, we would like to recognize our dedicated Planning Committee members — Carolyn Bell, Sarah Meyers, Jamie McNabb, Tim Louis, and Logan Gorrell. Their countless hours of planning, organizing, and hard work throughout the year made this celebration possible. Their commitment to our community is truly appreciated.
A special thank-you goes to Michele Blackburn for once again organizing an outstanding Independence Day Parade that brought our community together in celebration.
We also want to express our sincere appreciation to Cynthia Inman for coordinating the Bingo event and to the many volunteers who generously gave their time to make Bingo such a success.
Thank you to Amy Smith and Mark Ponchak for their assistance with the festival website and Facebook pages.
Thank you to all of our vendors for bringing great food, crafts, products, and activities that helped create a fun and vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.
We are grateful to everyone who participated in our festival events, including the Pie Baking Contest, Longest Beard Contest, Cornhole Tournament, Dunk Tank, Cash Mob, Parade, and all of the other activities that made the day memorable.
A special thank-you to Tim Hallowell for generously donating his professional auctioneer services for the Pie Bake Auction, helping raise additional funds for the festival.
We also extend our appreciation to the Morgan County Convention & Visitors Bureau for sponsoring the evening entertainment and helping bring live music to our celebration.
To all of our sponsors, businesses, organizations, and individuals who donated materials, merchandise, services, or financial contributions — especially those who helped make our spectacular fireworks display possible — thank you for your generosity and continued support of our community.
Finally, thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, participated, or helped behind the scenes in ways both large and small. Community events like this are only possible because of the dedication and generosity of so many people working together.
If we have unintentionally omitted anyone, please know it was not intentional. We sincerely appreciate everyone and every organization that helped make this year’s Independence Day Festival a memorable celebration for our community.
Thank you, and we look forward to celebrating with everyone again next year.
